Local promoters in Cardiff are responsible for practically all the smaller gigs in venues such as Dempseys, Callaghans, Buffalo Bar and some in Clwb Ifor Bach. They come and go but a handful of them perpetuate, and if they do, they are mentioned here. Some put on local bands, some look farther afield and book bands from countries such as Germany or the US. They are the ones that keep Cardiff's music scene so diverse. Try and support them if you can.
