Cardiff letting agencies
Cardiff has a wide variety of letting agencies. Some are well run and professional, others prey on students and other tenants and find all forms of excuses not to return deposits. Some are based in certain areas of Cardiff, others cover much of the city.
It is difficult to find an agency with which no tenant has had a bad experience, but the first ones mentioned on the left below seem to have many more good reviews than bad.
Property rentals
Prime Location is a website which draws search results from many letting agencies and estate agents, so if you know what area you would like to live in, it is worth checking out. If you just input 'Cardiff', you will get literally hundreds of results.
Allen & Harris, based in Pontcanna, are letting agents and estate agents. They have usually good quality properties from all over Cardiff, but mostly from the west side. They also have offices in Canton and Roath.
On the other side of the river, Jupiter Properties (02920 666623, Woodville Road), Abrahams (Crwys Road) and Keylet have all had reasonable reviews.
Mead cover most of Cardiff and are based in Canton. Whereas there aren't too many complaints if you talk to past tenants, apart from the length of time they take to look at repairs or return deposits, there has been the odd case so extreme it has led to Mead being featured on X-ray. Let's hope that gave them the incentive to improve their services.
